Suncoast Rise Against Plastic Coalition
We are a proud supporter of Suncoast Rise Against Plastic, a coalition of 17 organizations who envision a future without coastal and marine debris, a world where we ditch single-use plastics in our daily lives, and a time where we protect the coastlines and oceans we love. Suncoast Rise Against Plastic Coalition pursues its' vision through research, education and engaging citizens, local businesses, and community
Suncoast Rise Against Plastic Coalition’s is also leading a movement to end our society’s dependence on single-use products through their Ocean Friendly Restaurants program, with the primary goal of eliminating plasticware and EPE foam foodware (aka Styrofoam) from restaurants and businesses.
Solutionary Events
Solutionary Events is a non-profit educational outreach organization with a mission to create healthy, compassionate, and regenerative communities through coordinating socially & environmentally responsible vegan events. Solutionary Events organizes events all over Florida ranging between 3,000 to 30,000 visitors and growing.
foodstiks is partnering with Solutionary Events to help reduce the environmental impact of their events and minimize the plastic waste produced during the events. The goal is to run the events completely waste free.
Plastic Pollution Coalition
Plastic Pollution Coalition is a growing global alliance of more than 750 organizations, businesses, and thought leaders in 60 countries working toward a world free of plastic pollution and its toxic impact on humans, animals, waterways, the ocean, and the environment.
Foodstiks is a proud member of this coalition and supports its mission to end plastic pollution.
Tampa Bay Food Fight
This yearly event is organized by the Metropolitan Ministries to help raise funds for
Culinary Arts Program. This program prepares at-risk students in the skill of culinary arts at no cost to them. Restaurants from Tampa and St Pete "battle" for the People's Choice Award, the Mayor's Award and the ultimate Food Fight trophy. Foodstiks donated 24,000 pieces of wood cutlery that otherwise would have been plastic.
The Everglades Foundation
The Everglades Foundation works to restore and protect America’s Everglades through science, advocacy & education. Through their Literacy Program they work with teachers to educate the next generations on the importance of protecting our environment. Foodstiks happily supported the cause and their teacher Symposium.
Surf Skate Science
This fun organization is based in South Florida and teaches STEAM education through Surfing and Skating. They turn beaches and skateparks into class rooms and science labs.
Reduce your Use Tampa Bay
Movement to reduce waste from single-use plastics in cooperation with Hillsborough County, Pinellas County, City of Tampa, City of St. Petersburg, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, and Keep Pinellas Beautiful
